Company Driver Job Duties:
Safety.
Operate Company owned trucks over 3 tons.
Enter Macros onto Peoplenet to update status.
Display proper attitude and be courteous at all times.
Plan your routes to meet Company economies and best use of your time and equipment.
Drive legally and maintain logs meeting all DOT regs and observing all Company requirements.
Ability to work outside of vehicle for more than 2 hours wearing proper PPE, regardless of weather conditions.
Perform all duties having full use of fingers, hands, arms, and legs.
Meet Health requirements for woking and all senses must meet minimum regulations.
Ability to climb 12' ladder and walk across a 19" platform (top of trailer).
Driver Qualifications:
- Minimum of 23 years of age
- Be able to read, write, understand and speak the English language
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Have at least one (1) year Over-The Road experience under a D.O.T. certified carrier
- Be able to supply 10 year work history and ability to verify past three years from date of application
- No more than 1 moving violations in the past three years ( commercial vehicle)
- No more than 1 preventable accidents in the past three years
- Have no alcohol related charges in personal vehicle or drug possession convictions in the last 7 years.
- Have never had an alcohol or drug related conviction while operating a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
- Have no felony assault charges in the last twenty (20) years
- Have no disqualifying offenses which prohibit you from holding a hazardous materials endorsement or any felony convictions which are substantially related to driving a CMV with HM handling.
- Pass a DOT physical and Drug Screen with no medical waivers for hands, arms, vision, diabetes, and/or blood pressure
- Only have one (1) Commercial Drivers License (CDL) issued, in State of residence, with Tank and Hazardous Materials endorsements or be willing to get HM endorsement within ninety (90) days.
- Be able to display a neat, clean appearance at all times while on duty and able to pass a respirator physical and obtain a full fit of the respirator (as required)

After employment with Tidewater Drivers must maintain the following:
- One hundred twenty (120) Day Trial Period
- Zero (0) accidents, citations during trial period
- Qualification ride by Driver Trainer or Management during last thirty (30) days of trial period
- No more than three (3) moving violations in a three (3) year period or two (2) in one year
- Zero (0) citations for reckless driving or endangerment
- Zero (0) DUI / DWI in commercial or private vehicle
- Zero (0) preventable rollovers
- All accidents and incidents are reviewed at the discretion of management
- Maintain current Commercial Drivers License and DOT Physical Card
